Is the Word Feminist Sexist?

"There’s no difference between a man and a woman except what they have between their legs."

(There are other genders other than just - males and females. Moreover, Gender is the social context of one’s sexual orientation. However, this piece focuses on only two sexes - men and women.)

The word 'Feminist' is derived from the Latin word 'FEMINA' which means 'woman'. So obviously, as many would say, this word is woman-centered and hence sexist. But the use of the word feminist as a synonymous word for equality is justified and necessary because women first need to be at the same level as that of men socially, economically, and politically.

GOOGLE states that it will take another 132 years to achieve gender equality.

Being a feminist does not mean being a woman who hates men.

Feminism means equality for all sexes and genders.
Many people confuse it with 'matriarchy' which means a female-dominated society just as 'patriarchy' means a male-dominant society.

Many parts of human social culture have so casually been influenced by 'patriarchy' such that all the patriarchial behavior is, many times accepted as NORMAL.
It's not that only men can be patriarchal just as many people think that only women can be feminists.
Both men and women suffer from the consequences of 'patriarchy' even unknowingly.

Feminine and Masculine are the terms set up by humans so they don't need to separately define every member of the ever-increasing human population.

Who must have told Adam and Eve (the first man and woman on earth)to wear certain clothing or follow certain norms and rules of sex and gender? Perhaps they did what they liked o
r maybe they would have looked at each others' vagina and penis and must have realized that it's the only difference in their bodies so they need different items of inner clothing to live comfortably.
The following generations of homosapiens thought that this is how things need to be followed.

How can one's style of clothing tell the sex of that person? It's all in our heads.

There are so many people out there who believe in the equal rights of all genders but don't call them feminists. It's like saying H2O and Water are two different things.
Calling yourself a feminist doesn't make you feminine or girly.

Nothing a person does defines whether that person is 'girly' or 'manly' or 'masculine' or 'feminine'. The only thing that matters is whether that action is 'humanly' or not.

So if you're a person who believes in equality of all sexes and genders, you can call yourself a feminist.
